meHi, my name is T.O. and I’m a Software Consultant at RedHat.

I tell stories to help others build great software and delight their customers

But if you’re wondering why YOU should stay here, here’s what I think I know about you..

A Little About You

You’re an up-and-coming software developer working for yourself or a company (or both!).

You’re somewhere in between writing your first “Hello World” function and reciting “Clean Code” by heart.

You enjoy technology, but not all the wordy, jargon-filled explanations that sometimes fill the internet.

You just want to know why we use certain technologies, how to set them up, and what the best practices are.

That way, you can choose the right technology for your product and build it quickly using strategies you won’t loose sleep over.

And soon, you’ll be the expert that others can learn from.

(Or, at least the one who can tell them what to “google”)

You’ll start to help people understand technology for themselves.

And when they do, they will build great software too.

Now you’re a hero!

Did I get that right?

Great! I just described myself too.

A Little About Me

I work for RedHat because they focus on teaching people technology instead of just selling them (proprietary) software. Sometimes that’s difficult, but our customers find it extremely helpful. I mean, how else could RedHat make a billion dollars selling free software?

Anyway, I spend most of my time teaching the “whys”, “hows” and best practices of technology. I enjoy the spark in someones eye when they understand a new concept. Of course, when they learn to find answers themselves, that means they won’t need me as much anymore 🙂

But since we still have clients, I’m here to learn so I can become a better teacher. And there’s no better way to learn than by diving in first-hand.

Here you’ll find..

Stories about how we use software to help our clients build better businesses.

I hope you’ll join me for the ride! Feedback is always welcome.
